Ronnie Stanton joins Evanov as Senior Brand Manager

Veteran programmer Ronnie Stanton is on the move, set to join Evanov Communications as Senior Brand Manager for their GTA stations Z103.5 (CIDC-FM) and Lite 92.1 (CKPC-FM).

Since late last year, Stanton has been leading Classic Hits programming nationally at Rogers Sports & Media, in addition to serving as Content Director for JACK FM (CJAX-FM) and the recently-rebranded KiSS Throwbacks (CKKS-FM) in Vancouver.

Prior to that, he served as Chief Content Officer for Virgin Radio International, working with the brand’s operations in Canada, the UK, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Oman, Romania, Lebanon, and  the UAE.

His experience in Canadian radio includes serving as Vice-President, Audio at Corus Entertainment, where he oversaw 39 AM/FM stations and the Curiouscast Podcast Network. His second stint with Corus Radio, he initially joined the company in 2013 as a talent coach and Brand Director for CFOX Vancouver, before being promoted to VP of National Brands and Programming.

After leaving in 2016 to work as VP of Content at Alpha Media in the U.S., and later as Regional Content Director for Grant Broadcasters on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, Stanton returned to Corus in early 2020. He has also held the role of Operations Manager and Brand Director for Astral Media’s Vancouver cluster, which included Virgin Radio (CFBT-FM), Shore 104 (CHLG-FM) and AM 650 (CISL-AM).

“Ronnie’s multi-platform leadership—spanning broadcast, podcasting, and digital audio—aligns perfectly with where ECI is headed,” said Lars Wunsche, ECI Executive Vice President, in an Evanov announcement. “As we expand audience and revenue across radio, streaming, social, and on-demand, his depth  of experience and proven ability to elevate brands are exactly what we currently need. We’re thrilled to have Ronnie join us in this key team role as we continue to grow and strengthen our position across our broadcast and  digital platforms.”

“I’m beyond thrilled to join the Evanov family in this exciting role,” added Stanton. “The opportunity to steer the overall sound of both Z103.5 and Lite 92.1, is exhilarating. I’m grateful that I can impart my experience in format launches, turnarounds and my commitment to talent coaching and broadcast culture to help ECI build winning brands across platforms.”
