Gabrielle Marchand joins Winnipeg’s Bounce 99.9

TV personality Gabrielle Marchand has been announced as the new morning show co-host on Winnipeg’s Bounce 99.9 (CFWM-FM).

Announced live this morning on CTV Your Morning Winnipeg, Marchand has most recently been seen in mornings as a host on Global News in the market. She joins veteran personality Beau (aka Wolfgang Frietzche), who has been heard solo in the time slot since early 2023.

Bounce Mornings with Beau & Gabby will make its debut on Monday, Dec. 1, following Frietzche’s previously-scheduled knee replacement surgery.

“It’s an honour to join this show and spend every morning focusing on two of my favourite things: music and Winnipeg,” said Marchand, in a Bell Media announcement. “Manitobans are the most genuine, friendly people, and I can’t wait to connect with them on BOUNCE Radio while teaming up with Beau, who brings that warm energy we all love. As his new sidekick, I’m looking forward to drinking three-to-six cups of coffee daily while learning from one of the best in the business.”

“Beau and Gabby bring a natural chemistry, energy, and enthusiasm, and listeners will love spending their mornings with them,” added Jeff Molnar, Program Director, Manitoba & Saskatchewan, Bell Media. “Mornings in Winnipeg are about to get a lot more fun with these two awesome personalities leading the show.”

Marchand originally hails from North Battleford, SK, landing her first reporting job at Global Saskatoon. After completing a Bachelor of Professional Communications degree at Royal Roads University in Victoria, she continued her broadcast career as an anchor at Thunder Bay Television, going on to join CTV News Winnipeg in 2016. She rejoined Global in 2019.

Beau is a market staple, who spent more than two decades waking up Winnipeggers, alongside Tom Milroy as one half of long-running morning duo Beau & Tom at the former Q94 FM (CHIQ-FM) and later 99.9 BOB-FM, which was rebranded as Bounce Radio in 2021, along with 25 other Bell Media radio stations.
