Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team run at the FIFA World Cup concluded Saturday, with Canadian viewers once again watching in history-making numbers.
Canada-Morocco becomes the most-watched Canada match at the FIFA World Cup and biggest non-Final FIFA World Cup match on record, drawing an average audience of 5.4 million viewers across TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo, and Crave, according to preliminary data from Numeris.
Overall, 11.7 million unique Canadian viewers tuned in for some part of the match, with audiences peaking at 7.3 million viewers at 2:41 p.m. ET as Canada fought to level the score.
Bell Media says streaming audiences were up more than +500%, compared to the Round of 16 opener in 2022. July 4 was also the biggest single-day engagement of the tournament for social media content on TSN, with more than 30 million video views and nearly 65 million impressions.
