Blue Ant Media has announced a long-term partnership with ZoomerMedia to represent advertising sales for its VisionTV specialty channel.
The channel, aimed at a 45+ demographic, is the Canadian home to British comedy and drama series like Midsomer Murders, Shetland, Sister Boniface, Shakespeare and Hathaway, and Inspector Morse, as well as Murder, She Wrote and Murdoch Mysteries. It also airs movies, faith-based content, and original Zoomer-produced shows like Your All Time Classic Hit Parade and theZoomer, the channel’s flagship current affairs show.
Blue Ant says the partnership will enhance its position “as a major player for advertisers seeking national reach delivered with market-leading cost efficiencies.”
“Our partnership with ZoomerMedia is much broader than a traditional representation deal; it’s a long-term strategic collaboration,” said Mitch Dent, President, Canadian Media, Blue Ant Media. “By aligning VisionTV’s ad sales with Blue Ant, we’re expanding our reach and further positioning Blue Ant as a leading efficiency driver for advertisers seeking scale across premium specialty television.”
“Blue Ant is a natural partner for ZoomerMedia,” added Dan Hamilton, EVP ZoomerMedia. “Integrating VisionTV’s ad sales with Blue Ant’s back-end infrastructure and exploring programming synergies is a strong strategic fit for both organizations. A special thanks to Airtime Sales for 20 years of VisionTV ad sales representation. We can assure existing, new and future clients that they will continue to receive the top notch level of service they have come to expect with Airtime under the new partnership.”
Blue Ant Media says it will now reach six million Canadians weekly across its specialty networks, with the company’s ad sales team representing eight Canadian specialty TV channels in-market, including BBC Earth, BBC First, Smithsonian Channel, T+E, Cottage Life, and Makeful, in addition to VisionTV.
