Quebecor-owned MELS Studios and Postproduction is moving forward with a new organizational structure aimed at enhancing the studio’s appeal to both domestic and international productions.

Aurée Lepage, Director of International Business Development, who is based in L.A., becomes the primary point of contact for the U.S. market and will support clients in bringing their projects to life.
Sophie Houle has been appointed Director, Client Experience and Communications. Drawing on her 20 years of experience heading marketing and communications for MELS, TVA Group, and Quebecor, she’ll focus on enhancing the client experience and strengthening partner relationships, in addition to continuing to lead brand visibility and communications strategy.
Marianna Del Giacco, Rental Space Coordinator, will continue to play a central role in the day-to-day operations of productions hosted at MELS, providing support to teams and clients.

Raphaël Rainville, Senior Director, Business Development and Postproduction, will also continue his mandate to accelerate MELS’s growth while leading the evolution of its postproduction services and overseeing operations.
MELS says its strengthened organizational structure makes it “a natural destination” for productions seeking a “versatile, high-performing, and welcoming environment.”
“This renewed structure will strengthen the support we provide to our clients, drive business expansion, and reinforce MELS’s position as the partner of choice for local and international productions attracted to Montreal as a filming destination,” said Patrick Jutras, President of MELS, in the company announcement.
Among the recent projects partially filmed at MELS Studios’ virtual production stage in Montreal is Apple TV original, Mayday, starring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh.
