FLOW 98.7 relaunches with refreshed lineup, throwback logo

CINA Radio Group has relaunched Toronto’s FLOW 98.7FM (CKFG-FM) with a refreshed lineup and logo, harkening back to the brand’s original style and colourway used at launch in 2001.

Peter Kash

Headlining the changes are the return of legendary FLOW personality Peter Kash to the brand’s airwaves, while also assuming the role of Program Director. Kash, who most recently was hosting mornings on Virgin Radio (CFMG-FM) Edmonton, co-hosted the morning show on the former FLOW 93.5 (CFXJ-FM) for nearly 12 years, prior to Stingray  relinquishing the brand in 2022.

Kash will be heard in afternoons and drive, starting at 2 p.m., which will include the return of the legendary “Traffic Flow Mixshow” during the commute home at 5 p.m.

Broadcaster Patricia Jaggernauth and “Canada’s Reggae Ambassador” Spex will helm new morning show, “Mornings with Patricia J & Spex,” airing weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

“Back in the Day Buffet” also makes a comeback in the noon to 1 p.m. time slot, featuring throwback hits.

“The Night Shift with Celebrity Dru” will be heard from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., with the introduction of new daily feature, “Top 5 at 9,” where Dru will count down his Top 5 picks across a variety of trending topics.

DJ Ritz showcases homegrown talent with “Made In Canada,” at 11 p.m. At midnight, “That Slow Jam Hour” with DJ Jester closes out the broadcast day with smooth R&B classics and contemporary favourites.

“It’s an exciting time for us at FLOW 98.7FM, and we hope everyone will lock in with us as we aim to provide the city and community the connection we all want to grow and develop,” Kash said in a station announcement.

FLOW 98.7FM additionally becomes the new radio home of the Extra Gravy Podcast with Marlon Palmer, who formerly co-hosted the station’s morning show alongside Alicia “Ace” West. The podcast will air Saturdays at 11 a.m.

Sundays feature “The Talkabout with Jonathan Shaw”; new Afrobeats-focused show “Ada’s Room,” hosted by Ada Ohh; Soca Therapy, hosted by Dr. Jay, De Soca Prince; and “The Riddim Track,” hosted by SpexDaBoss.
