FIFA World Cup audiences continue to break records with Thursday evening’s Canada’s Men’s National Team win attracting an average audience of 5.3M viewers across Bell Media’s properties.
Broadcast and streamed across TSN, RDS, CTV, Noovo, and Crave, it becomes the most-watched FIFA World Cup Group Stage match on record, according to preliminary Numeris data supplied by the network.
Canada’s 6-0 victory over Qatar now ranks as the country’s most-watched FIFA World Cup match since the 2014 Final with 11.7 million unique Canadian viewers tuning in for some part of the match – a gain of 34% compared to Canada’s second match at the 2022 tournament, and streaming audiences more than double the same 2022 game. Audiences peaked with Canada’s win at 8:01 p.m. ET at 7.3 million viewers.
TSN social media accounts on June 18 drew 17 million video views and 32 million impressions, with Canada-Qatar content garnering more than 1 million views on YouTube.

Non-Canadian matches are attracting an average audience of 1.2 million viewers, also up 54% compared to this point in 2022.
The tournament continues through Sunday, July 19. The Canadian Men’s National Team next faces Switzerland on Wednesday
