Blink49 Studios has unveiled a new joint venture with Yuk Yuk’s to develop and produce a slate of live and digital comedy projects.
Under the new partnership, the two organizations say they’ll combine “their respective creative expertise, industry relationships, and production capabilities to source, develop, and execute a range of comedy-driven projects.” The collab will focus on live stand-up comedy “pop-up” events as well as original comedic digital and online content.
Blink49 Studios will serve as the studio partner on all projects developed under the joint venture.
“This partnership represents a natural alignment between two companies deeply committed to championing great comedic voices,” said John Morayniss, CEO, Blink49 Studios, in an announcement. “Yuk Yuk’s has an unmatched legacy in Canadian comedy, and together we see a significant opportunity to build a modern, scalable comedy pipeline that connects live performance with premium digital storytelling.”
The companies say the partnership fulfills a broader strategic focus that includes developing vertically integrated models that connect talent discovery, development, and production, creating an ecosystem for discovering talent, testing material, and scaling projects across platforms.
