Ronnie Stanton has been promoted to Vice-President, Audio at Corus Entertainment, leading the Corus Audio division and overseeing its 39 FM and AM radio stations as well as the Curiouscast Podcast Network.
Stanton’s appointment comes following Brad Phillips’ retirement from the company this month. Phillips had held the VP, Audio title since March of last year.
A veteran of radio in Australia, Canada, and the U.S., Stanton is on his second run with Corus, initially joining the company in 2013 as a talent coach and Brand Director for CFOX Vancouver. He was quickly promoted to VP of National Brands and Programming.
After leaving in 2016 to work as VP of Content at Alpha Media in the U.S., and later a stint as Regional Content Director for Grant Broadcasters on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, Stanton returned to Corus in early 2020. He’d held the title of VP, FM Radio Programming since early last year.
Prior to his initial run with Corus, Stanton was the Operations Manager and Brand Director for Astral Media’s Vancouver cluster from 2008-13, which included Virgin Radio (CFBT-FM), Shore 104 (CHLG-FM) and AM 650 (CISL-AM).
