Audioboom expands sales in Canada through partnership with Rogers Sports & Media

Audioboom has announced its expanding its presence in Canada through a strategic sales partnership with Rogers Sports & Media.

Rogers Sports & Media will represent UK-based Audioboom’s portfolio in Canada to advertising agencies and brands. Audioboom’s original podcast slate includes titles like MafiaBlank Check, and It’s Happening with Snooki & Joey. The company also has partnerships with Casefile True Crime (US), The Morning Toast (US), No Such Thing As A Fish (UK), The Cycling Podcast (UK) and The Totally Football Show (UK).

“Audioboom’s partnership with Rogers Sports & Media expands our global footprint as we strive to create maximum value for our podcast partners across multiple territories,” said Stuart Last, Audioboom CEO, in a company announcement. “Canada is currently Audioboom’s 4th biggest region for downloads and boasts a rich audio heritage. Rogers Sports & Media provides the expertise to further engage fans with brands and advertisers.”

The Rogers partnership encompasses sales of premium host-read and dynamically inserted advertising inventory at both the national and local level.

“Audioboom strongly complements Rogers Sports & Media’s dynamic digital audio offering, including Frequency Podcast Network and our award-winning branded content studio Pacific Content, allowing Canadian marketers to further segment and target podcast listeners in an exciting new way,” said Mike Viner, Director of Digital Audio Advertising, Rogers Sports & Media.
