WABE 2026: Final registration call for Vancouver conference

Two Weeks Out: The Final Call for WABE 2026

If you look at the calendar, or the countdown clock we put on the WABE homepage, you’ll see we are now officially two weeks away from the 76th WABE Media and Entertainment Technology Conference. We’ll be setting up shop at the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront in Vancouver from Oct. 5-7.

For most of us on the technical side of the industry, our daily schedules are a game of Tetris. You’re juggling routine transmitter maintenance, studio upgrades or repairs, software updates, user support, and so much more. This list would never end. Finding a few days to step away from the desk can feel like a tall order. But if there’s one event you need to lock into your calendar this fall, this is it.

A Preview: Where Media Converges

We’ve spent the last few months teasing what’s to come, but now that our sessions team has officially locked in the final schedule, I can confidently say this is one of the most dynamic lineups we’ve ever put together.

Our theme this year is Where Media Converges, and we aren’t just throwing around buzzwords. We are digging into the practical realities of our daily jobs. The lines between traditional RF, film, live production, streaming, and IT are blurring. Our educational sessions are built to tackle this head-on. We’ll be exploring real-world case studies on everything from the latest evolutions in IP networking and cloud-based production, to how artificial intelligence and data-driven workflows are actually being implemented on the ground to solve problems.

Regardless of your specific niche in content delivery, there is something on this schedule that will directly impact how you do your job today, tomorrow, or in the next few years.

The Exhibit Hall and Connecting

Beyond the educational sessions, the WABE Exhibit Hall is going to be packed. With over 40 vendors ready to showcase the latest media and entertainment tech, this is your best opportunity in Western Canada to get hands-on with the gear that will power your next big capital project. It’s one thing to read a spec sheet online… it’s entirely another to talk face-to-face with the experts and manufacturers who build the tech.

But as we always say, the true value of WABE is the people. It’s the conversations in the hallways, the shared troubleshooting tips over a coffee, and the realization that we are all navigating these massive industry shifts together.

Register Now

We know budgets are always top of mind, which is why we need to thank our incredible sponsors who help keep WABE accessible.

  • Free to attend the Exhibit Hall (perfect if you can only break away for an afternoon)
  • $175 for a full conference pass (granting you access to all educational sessions)
  • $15 for our Media Mixer and Awards presentation (the perfect setting to trade war stories and celebrate the technical talent that keeps Canadian media running)
  • Day passes are also available for programming sessions.

This is the point in the planning cycle where I urge you to stop putting it off. Talk to your team, figure out your travel, and head over to wabe.ca to check out the finalized conference program.

Get registered today. The countdown is almost over, and I look forward to seeing you in Vancouver!
