TVO Media Education Group (TVO) has announced the appointment of Jeremy Dupuis as Vice President, Growth, a newly-created position Ontario’s public broadcaster says reflects its focus on “long-term financial sustainability in a complex media entertainment.”
Reporting to CEO Pary Bell and a member of TVO’s Executive Leadership Team, Dupuis will be the “executive steward” of TVO’s growth and self-generated revenue strategy, with accountability for delivering measurable, sustainable growth aligned with TVO’s mandate, values, and risk profile.
“TVO is growing, and we are making bold, deliberate and strategic investments to ensure we can continue serving Ontarians, ensuring access to lifelong learning opportunities for generations to come,” said Bell, in a TVO announcement. “Mr. Dupuis brings a track record of building and scaling revenue systems within media organizations navigating digital and organizational change. His ability to translate strong public assets into sustainable growth, while protecting trust and integrity, will be critical as TVO continues to evolve.”
TVO describes Dupuis as “a growth-focused executive with a track record of building and scaling revenue systems within media organizations navigating digital and organizational change.” His background includes a three-year stint with Torstar as General Manager of Marketing 360 Canada, Star Metroland Media’s marketing platform for small business. He also spent six years with Rogers Sports & Media, holding roles including Director of Social Media & 3rd Party Platforms, leading social and paid media strategy across Sportsnet, Maclean’s, CityNews, Flare, Today’s Parent, and Chatelaine, and Head of Digital Strategy, Planning & Fan Engagement, Sportsnet & NHL.
The broadcaster said Dupuis’ hire underscores its commitment “to responsible innovation, strong leadership, and long-term viability, ensuring the organization remains a trusted, innovative public media and education leader supporting learning at every stage of life in Ontario.”
