Stingray Radio unveils raft of leadership promotions

Stingray Radio has announced a raft of internal promotions within the company’s leadership structure across sales and operations.

Dean Rutherford

Dean Rutherford takes on the expanded role of Senior Vice President, Sales. He joined Stingray last year as VP of Sales after 25 years with Bell Media. Steve Parsons, meanwhile, assumes the role of Senior Vice President, Programming, upped from VP of Programming, Radio and GM for Toronto.

Ryan Shortt has also been elevated the role of Vice President, Digital and Mark Russett to the role of Vice President of Sales – Central  Markets. Devon Tschritter is also promoted to the role of Vice President of Sales – Western Major Markets as his scope increases to lead revenue generation in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary, while  continuing to oversee Stingray’s retail audio business nationally.

Craig Letawsky

Craig Letawsky has been appointed to the role of Vice President, Strategic Operations. Formerly Director of Operations for B.C. and Alberta, the newly-created position sees Letawksy lead large-scale operational initiatives spanning multiple departments, designed to modernize the company’s systems and processes. He’ll also maintain his current responsibilities in rural Alberta and the B.C. Interior, as well as oversight of operations in Calgary and Edmonton.

Jennifer Evans, Glenn Semaniuk and Mike Murphy continue in their respective leadership roles in the Atlantic markets.

“This leadership structure reflects both the strength of our team and the important work ahead as we continue shaping a company with the strongest sales and operations teams in the business and a clear path for sustained future growth,” said Stingray Radio President Steve Jones, in an internal memo.

Jones told Broadcast Dialogue there were no layoffs or other changes associated with the moves.
