‘Scott + Ana in the Morning’ debuts on Brantford’s Lite 92.1

Veteran broadcasters Scott Fox and Ana Almeida have joined Evanov Communications’ Lite 92.1 (CKPC-FM) Brantford as the hosts of “Scott and Ana in the Morning.” Launched Monday morning, the show will air weekdays from 5:30 to 9:00 a.m.

Scott Fox joins the show after a short hiatus from radio, following his departure from the morning show on Corus Radio’s 91.5 The Beat (CKBT-FM) Kitchener in December, where he was co-host of The Scott and Kat Show, which was also heard on Energy 95.3 (CING-FM) and Fresh 93.1 (CHAY-FM) Barrie.

He’s best known for his 19 years as host of mornings on Evanov’s Z103.5 (CIDC-FM). He also hosts The Scott Fox After 9 Podcast, which he launched earlier this year.

Ana Almeida joins Evanov from CTV Atlantic, where she was a co-host and producer on the Atlantic edition of CTV Morning Live, up until last September when she moved back to Southern Ontario to be closer to family. Raised in Cambridge, ON, Almeida began her radio career at 91.5 The Beat, before moving to Halifax where she co-hosted mornings on 101.3 The Bounce (CJCH-FM). She began contributing to CTV Halifax in 2011, hosting a weekly pop culture segment.

“We’re ready to wake up Southern Ontario with a show that’s fun, informative, and packed with great music,” said Fox in an Evanov announcement. “I’m excited to be back on morning radio and thrilled to be teaming up with Ana – she brings such a fresh perspective to the show!”

“I am so excited to be back on air, and I can’t wait to engage with listeners and be part of the Lite 92.1 family,” added Almeida. “Scott and I have a great dynamic, and we’re ready to make mornings brighter for Southern Ontario.”

John Biggs had most recently hosted the Lite 92.1 morning show, alongside the station’s former Assistant Program Director Lisa MacNeill, who has relocated back to Vancouver Island. Biggs moved up to mornings in late 2022 from afternoon drive, upon the retirement of longtime morning man Ed McMahon.
