Chris Pronger and Christine Simpson have joined the roster of on-air talent on the Prime Monday Night Hockey broadcast team ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Hockey Hall of Famer Pronger joins the desk as an analyst, beginning Oct. 13. The former NHL defenseman, who won a Stanley Cup in 2007 with the Anaheim Ducks and two Olympic gold medals for Canada, has previously provided analysis for ESPN and pre-game and post-game coverage for the St. Louis Blues on live sports streamer, VICTORY+.
Veteran hockey broadcaster Simpson will serve as Features Reporter, conducting long form interviews for “Legends of the Game” where key players discuss memorable moments in NHL history, as well as feature conversations with hockey enthusiasts, “offering perspectives on the game’s impact both on and off the ice.” Simpson was the marketing manager at the Hockey Hall of Fame, before venturing into broadcasting with Sportsnet, ABC, ESPN, NBCSN and regional network MSG Plus as a host for the New Jersey Devils.
Both will appear throughout the season, joining a cast led by veteran play-by-play announcer John Forslund, analysts Jody Shelley, Thomas Hickey, Shane Hnidy, Blake Bolden, and hosts Adnan Virk and Andi Petrillo.
The second season of Prime Monday Night Hockey begins on Thanksgiving Monday, Oct. 13, with a doubleheader when the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Detroit Red Wings at 4 p.m. ET, before moving west for the second matchup when the Vancouver Canucks take on the St. Louis Blues at 7:30 p.m. ET.
