Meredith Shaw joins Citytv’s Breakfast Television

Meredith Shaw is joining Citytv’s Breakfast Television (BT) as co-host, starting Monday, Sept. 11.

Shaw, who recently announced her departure from Bell Media’s CHUM 104.5 Toronto after almost nine years, officially joins Sid Seixeiro as co-host, filling the seat vacated by Dina Pugliese, who left the show in February after 16 years. Seixeiro has been accompanied by a range of fill-in hosts over the last few months, including former BT Vancouver and TSC personality Dawn Chubai and CTV and CP24 reporter turned YouTuber Brandon Gonez, among others.

In addition to hosting afternoons on CHUM 104.5 and filling in for Marilyn Denis on the morning show, Shaw hosted iHeartRadio’s syndicated, The Back in the Day Brunch. She has also made appearances on CTV’s The Social, Your Morning, The Marilyn Denis Show, and etalk, and is the host of Double Your Dish with her partner, chef Rodney Bowers, on CTV’s platforms.

As part of her new role with Rogers Sports & Media, she’ll be heard on 98.1 CHFI Toronto and nationally across the company’s Adult Contemporary radio stations as host of a new weekend show, beginning this fall.

“Well, this is going to be FUN! I have so much respect for this award-winning team and great admiration for the BT audience,” said Shaw, in a Rogers Sports & Media announcement. “It is my pleasure to step into this new role, a real dream come true! From the moment I met Sid, I knew we could talk about anything, laugh about anything and most of all be honest with each other and the audience. I’m so thankful for his support throughout this process and can’t wait to see those iconic Seixeiro dance moves, in person. Cheers to a big new adventure, I’m so grateful and so ready!”

BT airs live weekdays from 6-10 a.m. ET on Citytv, Citytv+, and Citytv.com in Ontario, with a portion of the morning show available nationally in all Citytv markets, starting at 8:30 a.m.
