Jonas Woost leaves STORYHIVE for Pacific Content

Pacific Content has hired Jonas Woost as the branded podcast company’s Director of Business Development.

Woost has been the Executive Producer, Original Content, for TELUS’ STORYHIVE project, which supports B.C. and Alberta filmmakers, for the last four and a half years.

Prior to TELUS, he was the Managing Editor of CBC Music, overseeing digital and product development.

Pacific Content says in his new role, Woost will work to grow its roster of clients and podcasts. Acquired by Rogers Media earlier this year, Pacific Content’s clients include Facebook, Dell Technologies, Red Hat, Mozilla, Charles Schwab, Audible, McAfee, and the New York Times T Brand Studio.

Woost was recently named to Business in Vancouver’s Forty under 40. He started his career working for record labels Ministry of Sound (UK) and PIAS Recordings (Germany), before taking on the role as Head of Music at digital music start-up Last.fm in 2005. Woost was in charge of all negotiations and relationships with music owners when CBS acquired Last.fm for US$280 million in 2007.
