The Grand Slam of Curling (GSOC) is expanding its global broadcast footprint with a new deal with sports streamer DAZN for the 2026–27 season.
While Sportsnet, CBC and ESPN will also continue to broadcast and stream games in Canada and the U.S., DAZN will bring GSOC and Rock League action to fans outside North America under the multi-year agreement.
“We’re continuing to expand the reach of the Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League to make it easier for fans around the world to follow the sport’s best players,” said Nic Sulsky, CEO of The Curling Group. “Our new partnership with DAZN is an important step in that growth, complementing our broadcast relationships in Canada and the United States and giving international fans another way to experience our events on a world-class platform.”
“Bringing the Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League to DAZN is a fantastic example of how we’re expanding opportunities for ambitious sports to grow globally,” added Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group. “Our platform helps sports reach new audiences, accelerate fan engagement and unlock long-term value. We believe the next generation of global sports properties will succeed through enhancing their accessibility, discoverability and distribution at scale, and DAZN is uniquely positioned to support this.”
ESPN announced a three-year agreement with the league in August to bring live coverage to U.S. audiences, while CBC and Sportsnet also announced new five-year broadcast deals that see the public broadcaster and the network split coverage between them.
In Canada, Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ will provide coverage throughout the week, with CBC and the free CBC Gem streaming service carrying weekend playoff action. In the U.S., ESPN+ will carry all games with select broadcasts on ESPN. Internationally, DAZN will broadcast three draws live daily from Tuesday through Saturday, in addition to the finals on Sunday, to subscribers worldwide (with a blackout in Canada and the U.S.) The league’s own subscription streaming site, RockChannel.com. will offer additional live matches and on-demand coverage.
The GSOC season opened Oct. 13 with the CO-OP Invitational in Victoria, kicking off a five-event schedule featuring the world’s top men’s and women’s teams. The next event gets underway Nov. 3 at the GSOC P&H Masters in Medicine Hat, where teams will compete for a combined $400,000 CAD purse and a place at the season-ending Players’ Cup.
Rock League, curling’s first professional mixed-gender league, returns to the ice in January, with five events culminating in a championship weekend in April.
