Chantal Kreviazuk, Brian Williams join ‘Pro Canada Project’ PSA campaign

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk and sportscaster Brian Williams are the latest Canadians to lend their voices to the Pro Bono Group’s “Pro Canada Project” PSA campaign.

The new spots continue the campaign’s “Buy Canadian” message, with Kreviazuk’s PSA making special reference to her protest of U.S. President Donald Trump’s “51st state” narrative at the 4 Nations Face-Off final in Boston in February, when she changed the lyrics of O Canada to “that only us command.”

Kreviazuk and Williams are among a growing chorus of voices featured in the campaign, which thus far includes women’s hockey legend Hayley Wickenheiser, sports commentator Ron MacLean, Dragons’ Den staple Arlene Dickinson, comedian and TV personality Rick Mercer, stand-up comedian and voiceover artist Ron James, improv legend Colin Mochrie and actress and comedian Deb McGrath.
