CBC launches dedicated ‘Q with Tom Power’ FAST channel

CBC has announced it’s giving long-running podcast and CBC Radio show, Q with Tom Power, its own FAST (free ad-supported streaming) channel.

Available now in Canada on CBC Gem and the Q with Tom Power YouTube Channel, it will feature more than 450 conversations from Q’s vast catalogue, including interviews with Adele, Jully Black, Celine Dion, Jeremy Dutcher, Dua Lipa, Mae Martin, Catherine O’Hara, Matthew Perry, Chappell Roan, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Harry Styles, Shania Twain, and Denzel Washington.

“Tom’s interviews already capture millions of viewers and listeners across CBC Radio, YouTube and podcast platforms, and engage millions more on Instagram and TikTok, said Jennifer Dettman, Executive Director, Unscripted Content, CBC, in the public broadcaster’s announcement. “Bringing Q into the FAST space introduces Canada’s premier arts and entertainment archive to a whole new audience while offering existing fans a 24/7, binge-worthy experience.”

A CBC staple, Power has been hosting Q since 2016, earning the Gold Tower for Best Interview at the New York Festivals Radio Awards three times for his conversations with Mick Jagger (2024), Bono (2023) and Michael J. Fox (2021). He was most recently recognized with the Silver Tower for his interview with Judd Apatow.

The channel joins CBC’s entertainment portfolio of FAST channels including CBC Comedy, and channels dedicated to long-running TV series Heartland, Murdoch Mysteries, and Schitt’s Creek.
