CBC has secured the broadcast rights for the second season of Canada Super 60, bringing professional T10 cricket to audiences across the country.
Under the newly-announced partnership between Canada Super 60 and the public broadcaster, every match of the tournament will stream nationally on CBC Gem from Sept. 29 to Oct. 4. Select marquee matches, including the women’s championship final, will also air nationwide on CBC TV.
The six-day tournament will be hosted at BC Place in Vancouver, with the partnership coming at a key moment for the sport in North America, particularly as cricket prepares for its return to the Olympic Games at LA2028.
“We are thankful and genuinely thrilled to welcome CBC as our official broadcaster and streaming partner,” said Abhishek Shah, Chairman and Founder of Canada Super 60, in a joint announcement. “Their involvement is a powerful vote of confidence in Canada Super 60 and confirms our belief that Canada is ready to embrace cricket’s growth across North America. With CBC and CBC Gem, families and communities from coast to coast to coast can be part of the tournament as we build a lasting platform for players, supporters and the next generation.”
CBC’s Executive Director of Sports and Olympics, Chris Wilson, noted that the coverage aligns with the broadcaster’s mandate to showcase elite high-performance and women’s athletics.
Canada Super 60 debuted in 2025 with backing from former Indian international cricketer and two-time World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh. The league utilizes the fast-paced T10 format – 10 overs per side, with complete matches taking roughly 90 minutes. Featuring both Men’s and Women’s divisions, 24 matches will be played across six days, pitting six city-based franchises against each other, including Brampton Blitz, Mississauga Masters, Montréal Royal Tigers, Toronto Sixers, Vancouver Anchors, and Whiterock Warriors.
Supported by the B.C. Government and Destination Vancouver, the event is expected to draw local, national, and international visitors to the region.
Chris May, General Manager of BC Place, added that national coverage via CBC and CBC Gem serves as “a powerful sign of cricket’s growing momentum” in Canada.
“We are proud to be the host venue of this event and can’t wait to see how the tournament and the sport continue to grow from here,” said May.
