Cardinal, Schitt’s Creek among big winners on night three of Canadian Screen Awards

The third evening of virtual Canadian Screen Awards were presented Wednesday evening for Scripted categories.

Among the evening’s big winners were CTV’s Cardinal which earned seven awards, including Best Drama Series, Best Writing, Best Picture Editing and Best Achievement in Make-up. Leads Billy Campbell and Karine Vanasse also swept the lead actor drama categories for the second consecutive year, with Kristen Thomson winning Best Supporting Actress, Drama.

Schitt’s Creek picked six awards, including Best Comedy Series with Catherine O’Hara winning Best Lead Actress, Comedy for a fifth year and Eugene Levy winning Best Lead Actor, Comedy for the second consecutive year. Baroness von Sketch and Anne with an E each won five awards.
