Camille Broughton named Pat Grierson Salesperson of the Year

Camille Broughton has been named the 2025 Pat Grierson Salesperson of the Year.

Sponsored by Slaight Music, the award was established in 2023 in memory of the late Canadian Broadcast Sales (CBS) founder, who passed away in 2022. Among other criteria, it celebrates a Canadian radio sales professional for top notch performance, ability to lead by example and willingness to embrace new technologies and innovation. Grierson was the inaugural recipient, with Stingray Toronto’s Cheryl Foster claiming the award for 2024.

Broughton, who has worked with Bell Media in Toronto since 2001, started her radio sales career as an account manager with 104.5 CHUM FM and FLOW 93.5 (CFXJ-FM). In 2013, she expanded her remit to include CHUM-FM, 99.9 Virgin Radio (CKFM-FM), Newstalk 1010 (CFRB-AM), TSN 1050 (CHUM-AM) and the Bell Media Digital Network. Since 2023, she’s been a multi-platform account executive selling across radio, TV, digital, and Astral Out-of-Home (OOH).

In an announcement, Slaight Music said Broughton is a “rare combination of top radio biller for Bell local across Canada, combined with a deep commitment to champion and advocate for the radio industry and her customers.”

“She has had a big impact on mentoring new hires and developing new radio revenue streams for Bell,” it continued.

“Pat Grierson was a true original in the Canadian radio industry and a legend in the development and growth of radio advertising sales in Canada,” added Gary Slaight, President & CEO of Slaight Communications. “The Slaight Foundation is proud to present this award to a Canadian radio sales professional who represents the best in class, is an industry innovator, and has Pat Grierson’s one of a kind flair.”
