Brad Smith and Brittnee Blair join Global TV’s new afternoon show TMS2

Global has announced more talent joining its new afternoon lifestyle show, TMS2, ahead of its premiere on Sept. 8.

Alongside host and entertainment reporter Morgan Hoffman, former Chopped Canada host Brad Smith is joining the show as co-host. Media personality Brittnee Blair (Big Brother Canada, The Morning Show, ET Canada) will also serve as an entertainment reporter, contributing to TMS2, The Morning Show, and Global News.

The new afternoon program, which will air at 1 p.m. ET/PT and 2 p.m. AT, follows a national rollout of Global News at Noon, promising segments across home, fashion, food, and wellness, alongside entertainment news.

In the show’s first week, Global says among those featured will be Oscar winners Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, in addition to Mark Wahlberg, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. TMS2 and The Morning Show team will also be covering the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), while Brittnee Blair heads to Paris “for an exclusive event featuring a global music superstar.”

Jordan Schwartz, Head of Morning Programming, Corus Entertainment, said in a Global announcement that the new show will build on the network’s The Morning Show brand, “that Canadians have come to know, love and trust.”

“This new show, featuring award-winning and trusted hosts like Morgan, Brad, and entertainment expertise from Brittnee, builds upon the connection audiences already have with The Morning Show, extending that relationship into the afternoon with fresh, engaging content,” said Schwartz.

TMS2’s entertainment and lifestyle segments will be accompanied by second screen offerings, allowing viewers to discover and shop what’s on screen through interactive features via NextScreen.

“TMS2 also creates exciting new opportunities for viewers to connect with major brands through interactive and shoppable experiences, while offering advertisers innovative ways to engage audiences through seamless integrations,” Schwartz added.

In addition to airing on Global, the show will stream live on YouTube and be available on demand as a daily podcast and on STACKTV.

The show is being executive produced by Morley Nirenberg, with Sandy Chronopoulos acting as Supervising Producer.
