Ben Mulroney to host upcoming season of Global’s ‘The West Block’

Global News has announced that Ben Mulroney will host the upcoming season of its political affairs program, The West Block, when it returns for a 15th season on Sept. 14.

Mulroney, who also hosts his own show across the Corus Radio talk network, steps in for Ottawa Bureau Chief Mercedes Stephenson, who is on parental leave this season.

The West Block sets the tone, pace and conversation for the week ahead around politics,” said Mulroney, in a Global News announcement. “I feel privileged to be a part of the team bringing Canadians the number one political show in the country.”

Mulroney is best known for his 20-year run with CTV where he was a staple on both CTV Your Morning and etalk.

He can be seen in The West Block host’s chair every Sunday, starting Sept. 14, at noon AT, 11 a.m. ET/CT, and 10 a.m. MT/PT, with encore broadcasts Sunday nights on Global and STACKTV.
