Blue Ant Media restructures marketing division

Blue Ant Media announced a series of appointments this week intended to support the company’s multi-national streaming, production studio, and rights-management businesses through an integrated marketing model.

The announcement follows what Blue Ant called in its announcement a “transformative year” that saw the company go public, complete a number of major acquisitions, and significantly increase its scale and reach.

Allison Carr

The new appointments include Allison Carr as Senior Vice-President, Marketing, Consumer Brands. Carr most recently led brand strategy, customer experience, content and broadcast operations at Woodbine Entertainment and previously spent more than a decade at Corus Entertainment, overseeing marketing and publicity for more than 30 entertainment brands.

She’ll lead marketing strategy for Blue Ant’s international PayTV AND FAST/AVOD channels as well as subscription streaming service MagellanTV, the company’s connected TV advertising business Media Pulse, and its portfolio of 11 consumer shows.

Jeff Cooke

Jeff Cooke is now Marketing Manager, Studios & Rights. Cooke formerly led consumer marketing at New Metric Media for titles including Letterkenny, Shoresy and Hate the Player: The Ben Johnson Story. Prior to that, he spent a decade at WildBrain, where he led global B2B marketing initiatives. Reporting to Kelsey Aikman, VP, Marketing, Blue Ant Rights, Studios and Corporate, Cooke will develop marketing strategies that build the global profile of the company’s studios, productions and rights portfolio.

Lindsay King

Lindsay King joins Blue Ant as Marketing Manager, Consumer Shows. The founder of Add To Cart Commerce, King will lead campaign strategy, positioning, messaging and year-round audience development for Blue Ant’s portfolio of consumer shows, with a focus on using audience insights and digital marketing to support attendance, engagement and longterm brand growth.

Alan Sencich

Alan Sencich as Marketing Manager, Canadian Media. Most recently Senior Marketing Manager, Canada at Kinetic Digital, Sencich formerly worked at East Side Games, developing audience campaigns and digital communities around entertainment properties in partnership with brands including NBC, BBC and Funko. Sencich will lead marketing for Blue Ant’s Canadian television brands, including T+E, Cottage Life, BBC Earth and Makeful.

Anna Molloy also takes on an expanded role as Senior Manager, Marketing, Rights & Streaming, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

As part of its evolving marketing model, Blue Ant has selected Blue Noise Studios as its new media agency partner. Blue Noise will work alongside the Blue Ant team to support “a performance-focused media approach grounded in audience insight, ongoing measurement and campaign optimization.”

“These appointments build on the considerable talent already within our marketing organization and, alongside our partnership with Blue Noise Studios, position us well to deliver on our growth ambitions,” said Dervla Kelly, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Blue Ant Media.
