Sid Seixeiro to debut sports podcast after year-long absence from media

Sid Seixeiro is set to debut The Sid Seixeiro Show on Feb. 9, marking a return to media after a year-long absence following his release by Citytv’s Breakfast Television last February.

Streaming live Monday to Friday at noon ET, the podcast promises Sid’s “unfiltered takes, big opinions, and high-energy breakdowns on everything Toronto sports.”

The podcast is powered by Montreal-headquartered The Sick Podcast Network, founded by Sammy Cavallaro, whose roster includes The Sick Podcast with Tony Marinaro, alongside shows dedicated to CF Montreal, the Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, and more.

Prior to joining BT in early 2021, Seixeiro was the longtime co-host of Sportsnet radio and TV simulcast, Tim & Sid, alongside Tim Micallef.

“I haven’t done anything like this for a year and early on in that break I was asking myself ‘what do you want to do next?’ ‘what are the options?’ ‘what do you feel like doing?'” Seixeiro said in a video posted to his social channels.

“I kind of missed it. I have. So, I’m back in the arena,” said Seixeiro.
