In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, radio stations across the country are coming together for the fifth year in a row for A Day To Listen 2025.

Produced by the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund in partnership with Orbyt Media, the 12-hour broadcast airs on radio stations throughout Canada on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (local time). This year, poet and former CBC Radio host January Rogers and Haida motivational speaker and Big Brother Canada alum Kiefer Collison, who has also been heard on-air at CFNR-FM Terrace, take the lead as hosts, joined by JUNO Award-winning singer-songwriter William Prince.
The theme of this year’s broadcast is The Path Here | The Path Ahead, reflecting on the decade since the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada released its Final Report and 94 Calls to Action, and where we can go from here.

“We are honoured to bring people across Canada together for the fifth year of A Day To Listen,” said Sarah Midanik, President & CEO of the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund. “With hundreds of stations uniting to share Indigenous stories, this year’s theme, The Path Here | The Path Ahead, reflects on a decade of reconciliation—its progress and challenges. We’re proud to work with our hosts and featured leaders to ensure Indigenous voices are heard, honoured, and amplified.”
Among the broadcasters participating are Stingray Radio, Bell Media, Corus Entertainment, Rogers Sports & Media, and SiriusXM Canada.
In addition to the 12-hour radio broadcast, extended interviews and conversations will be available through the A Day To Listen podcast on all major podcast platforms, including iHeart.com and the iHeartRadio Canada app and Spotify. A one-hour radio program will also be heard on news/talk stations throughout the country.
