NAB Show 2025 expands focus on Artificial Intelligence

NAB Show is expanding its focus on Artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on the future of content creation, distribution, monetization and audience engagement, April 5-9 in Las Vegas, with a new dedicated startup hub showcasing the next generation of AI-powered technology redefining storytelling and production.

PropelME, being launched in partnership with L.A.-headquartered AI media and entertainment venture studio, FBRC.ai, will feature companies leveraging AI to transform the broadcast, media and entertainment industry. Those confirmed to participate include Advanced Image Robotics, Anantadi, AudioShake, BeeYou.tv, bit part, EON Media Corp, Fastah Inc, Flomenco, Frammer AI, Lightcraft Technology, Logituit, MID49 and Voyage Audio.

“AI is transforming media and entertainment, unlocking new ways to tell stories, engage audiences and streamline production,” said Karen Chupka, Executive Vice-President and Managing Director, NAB Global Connections and Events, in a release. “At NAB Show, we’re bringing together emerging tech and visionary creators to explore AI’s ability to enhance storytelling.”

According to data from Straits Research, provided by NAB Show, the global AI media and entertainment market is set to exceed $104.4 billion by 2030.

The show floor will also feature the new Startup Stage, where industry leaders and startup founders will discuss advancing tech innovation across two key themes – the Hybrid Production with AI track, examining how AI is streamlining workflows from on-set production to post-production, and the Evolving Consumer Experiences track, focused on new AI-driven methods for distributing, personalizing and enhancing storytelling.

The new Startup Showcase, meanwhile, will see brands take the stage to deliver rapid-fire presentations on how their innovations fit into the broader content ecosystem. Audience members will select the most promising startup to participate in a Fireside Chat for an extended conversation. NAB Show will also host the AI Innovation Pavilion, a central hub on the show floor displaying the latest advancements in AI tech.

Among the other important discussions taking place at NAB Show around AI and responsible implementation, ethical considerations and the long-term impact for media professionals and audiences are: Safeguarding IP in the Era of AI: From Deepfakes to Digital Deception, featuring Dan Neely, CEO of Vermillio and one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in AI; DeepSeek and the New Reality: Progress or Pandora’s Box, featuring insights from industry leaders like Andy Beach, former Microsoft CTO; and Post|Production World’s Expanded AI Track – a deep dive into practical AI applications in video editing, motion graphics and animation.
