Who we’re looking for:
Rogers tv is looking for freelance producers in various markets across Canada. These freelancers will produce short-form community news stories as assigned by their Station Manager. Successful candidates have a passion for local news and information and an interest to collaborate with community members to bring outstanding local content to our viewers in their regions.

Parksville, BC
Duncan, BC
Squamish, BC
Red Deer, AB
Lethbridge, AB
Central Ontario (Collingwood, Midland, Orillia)
London, ON
Waterloo Region, ON
Georgian Bay, ON
What you will do…
- Produce short form, local news video content as approved, ensuring its local relevance to air on Rogers tv Community News.
- Build and maintain relationships within the local community to foster contributions to relevant and timely programming.
What you will bring…
- Editorial savvy and strong news skills.
- Ability to shoot ENG style and edit on Adobe Premiere.
- A team player attitude that builds relationships with colleagues and engages the local community.
- Proficient understanding of media production tools and technologies, coupled with the editorial, writing and reporting skills required to create timely and captivating content.
- Self-starter who works well with minimal direction.
