iHeartRadio Canada launches Bryan Adams streaming channel

iHeartRadio Canada has launched Bryan Adams Radio, a dedicated streaming channel hosted by the one-time Grammy and 20-time JUNO Award winner.

Available 24/7 on the iHeartRadio Canada app and iHeart.com, the channel’s launch coincides with Adams’ 65th birthday and the 40th anniversary of the release of his 1984 album Reckless, which spawned six singles that charted in the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, including radio staples Run to You, Somebody, It’s Only Love, Summer of ’69, Heaven, and One Night Love Affair.

Listeners of Bryan Adams Radio can expect to hear the Canadian singer-songwriter share personal stories, handpicked tracks from his catalogue, and share the music that has shaped his more than four-decade long career.

To commemorate these milestones, CTV and Crave will present special, Reckless Live at Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, Nov. 9, which will air at noon ET on CTV, CTV.ca, the CTV app, and Crave, in which Adams will perform Reckless in full. The concert film is taken from his forthcoming deluxe boxset Live at the Royal Albert Hall 2024, set to be released Nov. 15.

“Really excited to collaborate with iHeart on my own channel and radio show,” said Adams, in a Bell Media release. “I’m going to be showcasing all kinds of great music in the coming shows, so tune in and rock out!”

Orbyt Media will also be making the Bryan Adams Radio Show available to broadcasters across North America. The weekly, syndicated three-hour show will be hosted by Adams and promises to feature “exclusive content, interviews, stories, special guests, and a blend of some of the greatest music of all time.” Produced and distributed by Orbyt Media, the weekly show will launch in January.

“Bryan Adams is one of Canada’s most beloved musical exports. This dedicated streaming channel and weekly radio show provide music fans with a window into his sonic world,” said Sarah Cummings, Director of Radio Content for iHeartRadio, Bell Media, and Orbyt Media. “Listeners can connect with Bryan’s catalogue, as well as his hand-curated selection of the best songs ever recorded. Bryan’s unique perspective brings a whole new dimension to the iHeartRadio Canada listening experience.”
