WABE’s theme this year is “Forging Ahead In Media’s New Landscape” as the organization gets set to welcome the broadcast tech industry to Edmonton’s ICE District, Sept. 23-25. “In an ever-evolving environment where technology continues to shape and redefine how we consume and interact with media, it is crucial that we come together to explore the latest trends, strategies, and tools that will drive us forward,” writes WABE President Tessa Potter in her April column. In the meantime, Winnipeg Media Members and WABE friends are encouraged to register their annual Monday Meetup on May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Canadian Brewhouse on Kenaston Blvd. Roy Folkman of Cinesys will speak on “How AI will change the media industry.” Read more here.
