Inaugural ‘Podcast Power-up Summit’ to kick off Radiodays North America

The Podcast Power-Up Summit: Emerging Voices and Industry Innovators will open this year’s Radiodays North America conference, on Sunday, June 2, promising to bring podcasters together to exchange ideas, gain insights, and forge meaningful connections.

“We call it the Podcast Power Up: Emerging Voices and Industry Innovators because it’s an opportunity for independent creators and others working in podcasting to be inspired and get a leg up by hearing from top podcasters and industry experts,” said Jeff Vidler, President & Founder of Signal Hill Insights, who is heading the committee curating the event.

Happening from noon – 6 p.m., among the sessions slated for the inaugural summit are:

  • Eric Nuzum of Magnificent Noise on “Why Podcasts Fail”
  • Laura Mayer, Executive Producer of Podcast Programming at ABC News and host of the Shameless Acquisition Target podcast on “How to Seize Opportunity: Podcasts, Commerce, and Corporate Embarrassment”
  • Dane Cardiel, VP of Creator Partnerships at Headgum-owned host-read ad marketplace Gumball, on “Building an Audio Business (without Losing Your Creative Integrity).” Cardiel is a longtime podcast industry expert committed to creators achieving success on their own terms. He’s also the founder and publisher of Good Tape magazine and was a founding member of Simplecast (acquired by SiriusXM in 2020), where he led business development and creator partnerships.
  • Kristi Lee, host of Canadian True Crime, on “Getting your Indie Podcast Signed”
  • Farid Haji, Head of Partnerships at Rooster Teeth’s podcast division, on how to make video work for your podcast
  • Kattie Laur of PodtheNorth interviewing Toronto-based Carlos Juico and Gavin Ruta, co hosts of Jumpers Jumpthe video-first podcast with 1.53M YouTube subs.

The Podcast Power-Up Summit is a separate ticketed event, available at a creator-friendly price of $100 to ensure it’s accessible to all members of the podcasting community. Learn more about registration here.
