Broadcast Tech & Engineering News – Immersion Room moves into new sound stage

Immersion Room, the Toronto virtual production studio, has moved into a new 23,000 sq. ft. film studio sound stage in Downsview Park. The new facility more than doubles its square footage, nestled into a studio complex with extra support on-site for productions. The extra space also expands Immersion Room’s innovation arm, allowing for LED stage upgrades, including a new articulating LED ceiling. Co-CEO Tanya Stemberger says the move also allows the company to support larger productions, expand resources needed for software development and innovation, and provides space to expand the technology sales and consulting arm of the business as it begins “round two” of funding. Immersion Room started in early 2020 with seed capital from the Canadian Small Business Financing program.
