Maureen Holloway

Maureen Holloway will be replacing Erin Davis on the 98.1 CHFI-FM Toronto morning show. Holloway announced last week, she was ending her run at Q107 (CILQ-FM). The move was confirmed for listeners via CHFI’s Twitter account and retweeted by Rogers SVP, Radio, Julie Adam. A press release is forthcoming.

Dave Morissette

Former NHL player Dave Morissette will join Montreal’s CKOI-FM with a daily afternoon sports segment that will focus primarily on hockey and the Montreal Canadiens, replacing Jeremy Filosa. Morissette returns to the CKOI five years after leaving to join TVA Sports, where he continues to host and remains under contract until 2019.

Rahim Ladhani

Rahim Ladhani is returning to CTV Winnipeg to co-host CTV Morning Live after working as an anchor and reporter at CTV News Calgary since leaving Winnipeg in Feb. 2015. He replaces Kris Laudien who departed for Global News Calgary in October. Laudien had been with CTV Winnipeg for four years.

Sabrina Carnevale

Sabrina Carnevale, 99.9 BOB FM (CFWM-FM) Winnipeg and TSN 1290 (CFRW-AM) traffic reporter and announcer, is leaving Bell Media to do afternoon traffic on CBC Radio One. Carnevale will also report on community events.

Jason Shanofer

Jason Shanofer, broadcast engineer at 102.3 NOW! (CKNO-FM) and Up! 99.3 (CIUP-FM) Edmonton, has taken a career turn and assumed the promotions director/operations manager role at the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group stations. Succeeding Shanofer as broadcast engineer is Tyler Godsman who had been with Harvard’s X92.9 (CFEX-FM) Calgary for the past three years.

Darren Robson

Darren Robson is the new program director at The Wolf 104.9 (CFWF-FM) and My 92.1 (CHMX-FM) in Regina. After two years in the role, Tim Schutz has resigned for personal reasons. Robson was most recently PD with Rawlco’s JACK-FM (CKCK-FM) Regina. He programmed Rogers’ Country 93.3 (CJOK-FM) and 97.9 ROCK (CKYX-FM) Fort McMurray, as well as worked for SparkNet Communications Vancouver.

Darryl MacArthur

Newcap Ottawa and Darryl MacArthur, former director of regional sales, have parted ways. The 27-year Ottawa radio sales veteran has spent most of his career at CKQB-FM and CJOT-FM, weathering ownership, format and station name changes over the years.

Tanya Lapointe

Radio-Canada Montreal journalist Tanya Lapointe has announced she won’t be returning in January after taking a year sabbatical. Lapointe was with the CBC for 15 years, specializing in film and arts coverage. This year, she started working as personal assistant to Oscar-nominated, Canadian director Denis Villeneuve and has relocated to Los Angeles. Lapointe is also developing a documentary series, set to start production in Fall 2017.
