CBC

Canada Votes 2019: Election Night starts at 6:30 p.m. ET. on CBC TV and CBC News Network, as well as CBC Gemcbcnews.ca and the CBC News App. Coverage kicks off with a Canada Votes Election Day edition of Power and Politics with Vassy Kapelos from 4 to 6:30 p.m. ET on CBC News Network.

Coverage will be led by The National’s Rosemary Barton, with Ian Hanomansing, Andrew Chang, David Cochrane and Heather Hiscox sharing results from ridings across the country. Kapelos, Duncan McCue, guest analyst Peter Mansbridge and the network’s At Issue panel will also provide context and analysis.

Adrienne Arsenault will report on the integrity of the election process, while David Common will have the latest on swing ridings throughout the evening, in addition to local reportage from across the country.

CBC Podcasts’ Front Burner host Jayme Poisson will also helm a panel of “high-profile Canadian stakeholders” that will provide reaction to the results. Wendy Mesley will host the after-election show.

Global

(cross-radio & television coverage)

Decision Canada, led by Global News Anchor Dawna Friesen, will deliver results and analysis, live on select Global television and radio affiliates, starting at 7 p.m. ET (Global Halifax/New Brunswick, Global Durham, Global Peterborough, Global Kingston and 980 CKNW Vancouver), and nationally across all affiliates from 9 p.m. ET.

Ottawa Bureau Chief and Host of The West Block Mercedes Stephenson, Chief Political Correspondent David Akin and Senior National Affairs Correspondent Eric Sorensen will report, alongside Friesen and correspondents from key battleground ridings and party headquarters. The broadcast will air live from Global News’ new state of the art Toronto election studio featuring a 70-foot panoramic digital display.

Also joining the in-studio team will be two expert panels. Global News Anchor Farah Nasser moderates a panel of Global News Radio personalities who will offer insight into what matters most to the Canadians they speak to every day on-air, featuring: Charles Adler (Charles Adler Tonight), Danielle Smith (770 CHQR), Supriya Dwivedi (640 Toronto) and Ryan Jespersen (630 CHED). Another panel features experienced political pundits, including: NDP MP Nathan Cullen; former Premier of Saskatchewan Brad Wall; former Ontario Liberal MPP Nathalie Des Rosiers; former press secretary to Elizabeth MayCamille Labchuk; and journalist and human rights advocate Amira Elghawaby.

Live local coverage segments will be featured on individual affiliates’ Decision Canada broadcasts, with insight from local personalities in each market and tailored results.

OMNI tv

OMNI anchors Karen So, Wei Lee, Kenneth Li and Bowen Zhang provide the latest election results and analysis in Cantonese and Mandarin starting at 9 p.m. ET on OMNI Television and www.OMNItv.ca (10 p.m. ET on OMNI Quebec)

OMNI News will report from key ridings and have live coverage from Liberal party headquarters in Montreal, Conservative headquarters in Regina, NDP headquarters in Burnaby and Green Party headquarters in Victoria

CityNews Toronto

Throughout primetime, CityNews Toronto will provide updates on Sportsnet and Citytv.

At 11 p.m. ET, the commercial-free election special will broadcast on CityNews Toronto.

Starting at 9 p.m. ET, CityNews Toronto will kick-off Toronto-focused election programming across all of our digital assets, including CityNews.ca, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

CityNews Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver

Starting at 11 p.m. ET, CityNews Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver kick off their market-focused coverage across all digital assets.  

At 11 p.m. local time, the commercial-free and market-focused election specials will broadcast on each station.

Across all CityNews stations

Tina Tenneriello will be live from Liberal party headquarters in Montreal, Tara Overholt will be live from Conservative headquarters in Regina, Travis Prasad live from NDP headquarters in Burnaby, and NEWS 1130 Vancouver’s Liza Yuzda live from Green Party headquarters in Victoria.

All CityNews websites will have access to live feeds from six Federal leaders campaign locations, as well as riding-by-riding results.

CTV

Omar Sachedina

CTV ELECTION 2019 will start at 7 p.m. ET, airing across CTV, CTV News Channel, BNN Bloomberg, and live stream on CTV.ca, CTVNews.ca, and the CTV and CTV News apps.

CTV’s Chief News Anchor Lisa LaFlamme leads CTV Election 2019 live from CTV News’ Election Headquarters, that will include up-to-date results and reaction from a team of more than 60 correspondents reporting from across the country. Joining LaFlamme to provide analysis are Evan Solomon, host of CTV’s Question Period; CTV News National Correspondent Omar Sachedina; BNN Bloomberg’s Amanda Lang; CTV News’ official pollster Nik Nanos; and Rupen Seoni of Environics Analytics.

Stationed at key locations are CTV Ottawa Bureau Chief Joyce Napier, CTV Power Play host Don Martin, and Your Morning co-host Anne-Marie Mediwake. Richard Madan will act as election Truth Tracker, separating campaign facts from fiction.

CTV’s election night panel includes former Interim Conservative Party leader Rona Ambrose; Former Liberal Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan; former NDP leader Tom Mulcair; CTV Quebec analyst and Dean of McGill University’s Faculty of Arts Antonia Maioni; and political strategist Zain Velji, who managed Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi’s re-election campaign and also worked on Barack Obama’s U.S. presidential campaign.

BNN Bloomberg

At 1 p.m. ET, Bloomberg Markets will focus on the election, hosted by Amanda Lang, co-produced with Bloomberg in New York, and broadcast around the world. From 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. ET, BNN Bloomberg tees up what Monday night’s results could mean for Canadian investors, business leaders, the Canadian dollar, housing, and taxes with its Election 2019 pre-results special. The two-hour event is hosted by Jon Erlichman and Greg Bonnell, alongside an expert panel that includes veteran corporate director Carol Stephenson; Nicole Verkindt, founder and CEO of OMX; Ed Devlin, head of Canadian portfolio management at bond giant PIMCO, and more. From 7 p.m. ET onward, BNN Bloomberg will simulcast CTV Election 2019, with final results and business analysis on BNNBloomberg.ca.

CP24

GTA viewers can turn to CP24’s Your Vote 2019, starting at 7 p.m. ET, with live, up-to-the-minute results on CP24, CP24.com, and the CP24 app.

Anchored by CP24’s Stephanie Smyth and Nathan Downer, the special will include live reports from ridings across the GTA; analysis on overall voting trends from CTV News Toronto’s Colin D’Mello; and an expert political panel featuring Jenni Byrne, former campaign director for Stephen Harper; Peter Donolo, former Director of Communications for Jean Chrétien; and Brian Topp, former campaign director for the NDP.

Kelly Linehan

Jackie Crandles will report from Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party headquarters in Montréal, Cristina Tenaglia from Andrew Scheer’s PC Party headquarters in Regina, and Leena Latafat from Jagmeet Singh’s NDP headquarters in Vancouver.

Kelly Linehan will host the Your Vote Block Party, live from the parking lot at Bell Media Studios in downtown Toronto, where voters are welcome to watch the results roll in on the big screen and share their reactions as the night unfolds, both on-air and on social media.

ONLINE:

CBC

CBC will have live party standings, starting at 7 p.m. ET, on the CBC News App and cbcnews.ca, as well as CBC Gem. For the first time, an ASL (American Sign Language) livestream will also air on CBC Gem.

A live blog is running throughout the day, covering the election story across Canada with updates and analysis from CBC News reporters. You can find the live blog here.

Users will also be able to create and follow a personal “watch list” for specific ridings.

Global

Decision Canada can be streamed live from 7 p.m. ET on any connected device via Globalnews.ca; as well as Global News’ YouTube, Facebook and Twitter pages.

CTV

Viewers can tune in to CTV ELECTION 2019 on CTVNews.ca, the CTV News app, and CTV News’ official YouTube channel for live results as they come in. The CTVNews.ca election hub features up-to-the-minute coverage, including a live blog and live interactive map that allows users to zoom into the ridings that matter most to them. Readers can also track the trajectory of party leaders’ support, based on daily updates from Nanos.

Subscribers to CTV News’ daily Election Dispatch newsletter will receive a full recap of election day news ahead of polls closing. Canadians can follow CTV News on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube for behind-the-scenes coverage and updates.

Rogers tv

Rogers tv election coverage will focus on the local ridings in their respective areas. Viewers are looking for coverage in a specific riding, you can stream the shows live on Rogerstv.com by clicking on the video tab.

Rogers tv has over 50 all-candidate election debates posted on YouTube (For English debates: www.youtube.com/c/rogerstvofficial and French debates: www.youtube.com/c/tvrogersofficiel).

Citytv

Starting at 9 p.m. ET, CityNews Toronto will kick-off Toronto-focused election programming across all of its digital assets, including CityNews.ca, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.  Coverage on Citytv digital assets in Montreal, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver will start at 11 p.m. ET. All CityNews websites will have access to live feeds from the six Federal leader campaign locations, as well as riding-by-riding results.

RADIO

CBC

CBC Radio’s election night special kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on CBC Radio One and the CBC  Listen app. Hosted by Susan Bonner of the World At Six and Chris Hall, National Affairs Editor and host of The House, Piya Chattopadhyay will also convene a panel of commentators who will share their views on the night’s results. 

Rogers Radio 

James Munroe

Toronto’s 680 NEWS‘ multi-platform election coverage starts at 8 p.m. ET, anchored by James Munroe and Laura Carney. 680 NEWS will have up-to-the-minute updates on results, speeches, and analysis by political affairs specialist John Stall. Coverage will be available on-air and online at 680news.com, on the 680 NEWS app, on the RadioPlayer app or on your smart speaker.

Kitchener’s 570 NEWS coverage starts at 8 p.m. ET, quarterbacked by veteran host Mike Farwell and joined in studio with key political commentators. NEWS 95.7 in Halifax starts coverage at 8 p.m. AT with veteran broadcasters Rick Howe and Sheldon MacLeod. They’ll be live in studio with a political panel, and a team of reporters covering the key ridings across the region. NEWS 1130 Vancouver Morning Anchor John Ackermann will lead live team coverage in Vancouver, joined by a panel of political commentators.

Global News Talk Radio
