Corus’ Rust Valley Restorers streaming worldwide on Netflix

Rust Valley Restorers is the first Corus Studios original production to be released worldwide on Netflix, starting today.

Ranked among HISTORY’s top five programs last fall, the car-flipping series profiles the “Rust Valley” vehicle restoration community in the B.C Interior as they transform rusted wrecks into collectible cars.

“Corus Studios continues to expand its portfolio, building on our successful roster of Lifestyle programming by developing dynamic and original factual series like Rust Valley Restorers,” said Lisa Godfrey, Vice-President of Original Content, in a press release. “This deal with Netflix underscores the success of that strategy and strength of Corus Studios as both a creative content partner and distributor.”

Corus Studios previously struck a deal with Netflix to stream unscripted series Cheer Squad which features Cambridge, ON-based all-star cheerleading squad The Great White Sharks, however the Rust Valley Restorers (8×60) agreement marks the first worldwide release (excluding Canada).

Rust Valley Restorers is produced by Mayhem Entertainment in association with Corus Studios for HISTORY. Rita Carbone Fleury, who oversees global sales of Corus’ original content slate, brokered the deal.
