Canadian History Ehx, Toronto Mike among 2025 Canadian Podcast Awards winners

Canadian History Ehx, Mental Health is Horrifying and No Quest for the Wicked led wins at the 2025 Canadian Podcast Awards.

Founded in 2018 by the organizers behind PodCamp Toronto, the awards celebrate outstanding achievements in podcasting, recognizing both independent creators and established media.

Celebrating their 8th year, this year’s winners were announced during a livestream Thursday night, hosted by past recipients, with presenters included previous winners like Erika Casupanan (Survivor), Cody Crain (CBS’ Ghosts), and Mike Browne (The Traitors Canada).

Multiple award winners included Craig Baird’s Canadian History Ehx, which claimed the awards for Outstanding Documentary and Outstanding Society & Culture SeriesMental Health is Horrifying, a self care podcast about the mental health benefits of horror, which won Outstanding Education Series and Outstanding Health & Fitness Series; and story-driven role-playing podcast No Quest for the Wicked, which won the awards for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music for a Series and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for a Series.

Other winners included Toronto Mike’d: The Official Toronto Mike Podcast, which was named Outstanding News & Current Affairs Series, while The Powder Room, hosted by Canada’s Drag Race alumni Aurora Matrix, Perla and Van Goth, claimed the People’s Choice Award. Ashley Lanna was named Best Host in a Series for Lullaby: The Fear Podcast.

“The nominees and winners this year reflect the role podcasting plays in Canadian storytelling today,” said John Leschinski, Founder of the Canadian Podcast Awards. “Their work adds something meaningful to the culture we share and to the way Canadian stories are told.”
