YES TV launches new streaming platform

Ontario-based faith and family values channel YES TV has launched a new streaming platform.

Currently available in 6.8 million Canadian homes, the streaming platform makes the not-for-profit religious channel accessible Canada-wide via iOS, Android, Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, and a variety of Smart TVs including Samsung, LG, Sony, and Android TVs, as well as directly from YES TV’s website at yestv.com.

Within the app, users can select from any of YES TV’s three over-the-air stations, spanning Ontario (CITS-DT), Calgary (CKCS-DT) and Edmonton (CKES-DT). The platform will also serve as the hub for YES TV original programs, making them available on-demand. In addition to religious programming, the channel airs series like Highway to Heaven, Blue Bloods, Family Feud Canada, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!

“We’re thrilled to introduce our all-new streaming platform, which is a testament to our commitment to serving our viewers better,” said Kevin Shepherd, CEO OF YES TV, in a Crossroads Television Systems announcement. “With this development, we aim to bring the values and entertainment YES TV is known for even closer to the hearts and homes of Canadians. This is a significant step forward, and we believe it will bring inspiration, joy and positive family entertainment to even more households.”

“The flexibility will undoubtedly deliver added value for our viewers and advertisers,” added Chief Operating Officer Glenn Stewart.

YES TV has been operating at lower power over the last few weeks as it also moves its broadcast site from Stoney Creek to the Waterdown, ON area.
