VICE Canada launches new cannabis media series ‘Sticky’

VICE Canada has launched new media series Sticky, the definitive guide to legal cannabis in Canada, in partnership with MERRY JANE – the cannabis-focused digital media platform launched by rapper Snoop Dogg in 2015, with media entrepreneur Ted Chung.

MERRY JANE features editorial content on the business and politics of the cannabis industry, original video series as well as a database for identifying cannabis strains and dispensaries.

Sticky will offer curated and collaborative content from across the VICE and MERRY JANE networks, covering everything from cannabusiness to strain explainers to the best way to spend time while high.

“As Canada has become the first G7 country to legalize cannabis nationally, Sticky will document the ongoing impact of this watershed moment as other countries around the world watch intently” says Nina Sudra, general manager, VICE Canada. “The partnership between VICE Canada and MERRY JANE will deliver the most relevant content for a post-legalization Canada.”

VICE Media has long covered cannabis culture and politics in Canada including popular video series Canadian Cannabis, hosted by F****** Up frontman Damian Abraham, and the platform’s live streamed “weed town hall” with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in April 2017.
