Tom Power, Dan Misener among Podcast Day 24 speakers

Podcast Day 24, a live one-day conference for podcasters taking place in New York, London and Sydney on Oct. 4, has announced the speakers line-up for its North American event, including Bumper co-founder Dan Misener, CBC podcast hosts Tom Power and Duncan McCue, and investigative journalist and producer Martha Troian (Kuper Island).

Podcast Day 24 is presented in partnership with Radiodays Europe, the British Podcast Awards, and the Australian Podcast Awards.

To be held at the SVA Theatre in the heart of Chelsea, the New York event will feature podcasters, publishers, platforms, and media and tech companies operating in the space with topics to be covered spanning podcast business models, ethics, and AI to audience development, monetization, data, and storytelling.

Additional speakers set to appear include Laura Mayer, LRM Works, who’ll speak about building value in media; Juleyka Lantigua-Williams, LWC Studios, discussing ethical questions around privacy and brand safety; Shira Atkins, Wonder Media Network, on unique business models; and Eric Nuzum, Magnificent Noise, on how to avoid “podcast killers” that derail podcasts and their ability to succeed, as well as Sarah van Mosel, iHeartMedia; Dave Zohrob, Chartable & Spotify; Stephanie Kuo, PRX; Kai Wright, WNYC; John Rosso, Triton Digital; Kundan Kumar, Descript; Mangesh Hattikudur, Kaleidoscope; Tom Webster and Bryan Barletta, Sounds Profitable; and Arielle Nissenblatt, Earbuds Podcast Collective.

Podcast Day 24 North America kicks off on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. ET. In addition to a ticket to the in-person New York event, registrants obtain video access to Podcast Day 24 sessions in London and Sydney.
