Telus first to offer 24-hour Travelxp 4K HDR channel in Canada

Telus says the Travelxp 4K HDR channel marks the first time a 24/7 HDR channel is available in Canada.

Now available to Telus Optik TV customers in B.C. and Alberta, the global travel and lifestyle channel is available either On Demand or via channel 716.

“4K HDR has set a new standard for TV picture quality and TELUS is excited to provide our customers with access to the first 24/7 4K HDR channel in Canada, in addition to our growing library of 4K HDR On Demand options,” said Blair Miller, VP, Consumer Products and Content. “The stunning imagery on Travelxp 4K HDR is a natural fit to showcase the vivid picture of 4K HDR and we look forward to offering more 4K HDR-capable channels.”

Currently distributed to over 50 million homes globally, customers that don’t yet have 4K HDR-capable TVs can still watch Travelxp in 4K, HD or standard definition.
