Sportsnet 650 announces new on-air lineup in wake of layoffs

Sportsnet 650 (CISL-AM) Vancouver has announced a new lineup following layoffs Tuesday that included key on-air staff Rick Dhaliwal and Jawn Jang.

Andrew Garas, Director of Communications for Sportsnet, said the refreshed lineup will start airing Monday, Oct. 21.

James Cybulski and Perry Solkowski will continue to host the Sportsnet Starting Lineup from 5:30 – 9 a.m., minus Dhaliwal who had been with station since its launch in Sept. 2017.

The Scott Rintoul Show moves into the midday slot formerly occupied by The Playbook, which was co-hosted by Jang and Satiar Shah. Rintoul previously hosted drive-time roundtable show The Program with Andrew Walker. Shah now moves to drive as Walker’s co-host.

Rintoul will continue to host through the noon hour on Canucks Central at Noon, alongside Bik Nizzar.

Reach Deep with Dan Riccio and Randip Janda then continues in the early afternoon slot from 1 – 4 p.m.

The extent of Tuesday’s cuts is not yet clear, but also included producers Cam Mitchell and Kellan Tochkin.
