The Q India is launching its second channel targeting the fast growing digital and Smart TV business in India on June 1 with the launch of The Q Comedistaan. The new channel will be featuring comedy programming 24/7 and becomes the fourth channel for the Toronto-headquartered company in India, joining the recently launched The Q Marathi and digital/Smart TV targeted animation channel The Q Kahaniyan. They join flagship channel The Q, the company’s Hindi language youth oriented channel, available in over 122 million TV households and to over 676 million users via OTT, mobile and app based platforms in India. The Q Comedistaan is set to feature programming from digital comedy stars and content creators such as Pankaj Sharma, Sanjhalika Shokeen, Ridu-Pidhu and Garuv Gera.

Narcity Media has launched a new audio feature in order to facilitate news consumption on narcity.com and mtlblog.com for users on-the-go as well as the visually impaired. By clicking the play button beside “Listen to this article”, found below the cover image of an article, an audio version of the content will start playing. The feature also enables the infinity scroll, automatically playing the next article in the queue and/or when a user navigates to another tab, so they can listen while completing other work or web browsing.
