Freelancer Producer – Rogers tv

Who we’re looking for:

Rogers tv is looking for freelance producers in 6 markets across western Canada. These freelancers will produce short-form community news stories as assigned by their Station Manager. They have a passion for local news and information and an interest to collaborate with community members to bring outstanding local content to our viewers in their regions.

Available markets: Parksville, BC, Duncan, BC, Penticton, BC, Vernon, BC, Red Deer, AB, and Lloydminster, AB

What you will do…

  • Produce short form, local news content as assigned, ensuring its local relevance and high production quality.
  • Learn to use the playback system effectively and schedule assigned content accurately.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the local community to foster contributions to relevant and timely programming.
  • Work collaboratively, cultivating positive working relationships with internal and external customers and colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • A creative, agile, and decisive approach.
  • Proficient understanding of media production tools and technologies, coupled with the editorial, writing and reporting skills required to create timely and captivating content.
  • Self-starter who works well with minimal direction.
