DHX Media and BBC Children’s Productions to co-produce Season 2 of Creeped Out

DHX Media and BBC Children’s Productions will be co-producing another 10 episodes of original kids’ live action series Creeped Out.

CBBC in the UK and Family Channel in Canada have ordered Season 2 of the spooky series that combines sci-fi, horror, adventure, suspense, fantasy and mystery.

Production will begin this summer, with the first five episodes to be shot in Toronto in mid-August, followed by five episodes to be filmed in North West England.

Season 1, which premiered on CBBC last October and debuts on Family Channel this fall, has also been picked up by Netflix worldwide (excluding Canada and the UK) for streaming this October.

“When done right, spooky anthologies like this have universal appeal, and we know that for season two, the talented writing and production teams in the UK and Canada have some truly hair-raising tales to share with fans around the world,” said Josh Scherba, president, DHX Media.

Each story in the drama anthology is introduced by “The Curious,” a mysterious, masked story collector who appears at the beginning and end of each episode.

Created and executive produced by Bede Blake (The Evermoor Chronicles, Hank Zipzer) and Robert Butler (Eastenders, Hollyoaks), Josh Scherba and Anne Loi executive produce for DHX Media, while Spencer Campbell is EP for BBC Children’s Productions.
