CTV Vancouver formally unveils new anchor lineup

CTV Vancouver has formally unveiled its new lineup after parting ways with CTV News At Six co-anchor Scott Roberts earlier this month.

Mi-Jung Lee, who had been anchoring CTV News At Six alongside Roberts since the fall of 2018, will be joined by longtime CTV weather specialist Ann Luu.

Ann Luu

Luu supplies weather across CTV Vancouver News at Noon, 5, 6 & 11:30, in addition to hosting Community Calendar, the Best of BC, a weekly pet segment and “Ann Luu’s In Your Shoes,” which sees her take on other people’s jobs.

As previously reported, CTV News At Noon and CTV News At Five are now co-hosted by Nafeesa Karim and Andrew Johnson. Karim moves into the new role from weekends, while Johnson arrives from CTV Vancouver Island where he co-anchored the 6 p.m. newscast and was Managing Editor. Former CTV News At Five anchor Scott Hurst moves into another role with Bell Media as an anchor/reporter for CP24 in Toronto.

Mary Cranston

Norma Reid continues as anchor for CTV News at 11:30. Mary Cranston, who was a host with Breakfast Television Vancouver, prior to joining CTV in March 2021, moves from reporting duties onto CTV Vancouver’s weekend anchor desk. Keri Adams, Jason Pires, and Marke Driesschen continue on CTV Morning Live.

“Mi-Jung is one of the great leaders in our newsroom as well as in our community, and she will continue to deliver the stories that matter most to our viewers as she helms our flagship Vancouver newscast,” said Ethan Faber, News Director, CTV Vancouver, in a release. “Nafeesa and Andrew make a formidable anchor team, and with our great team in the morning, Norma continuing to round out our local coverage on late night, and Mary assuming weekend duties, we feel we have a compelling new lineup.”
