Ashley Greco joins Ottawa’s Pure Country 94

Ashley Greco, who announced her departure from Toronto’s CHUM 104.5 last month, is joining the morning show on Ottawa’s Pure Country 94 (CKKL-FM).

Greco, who helmed middays on CHUM for the last 12 years and had served as the national midday host on Bell Media’s MOVE Radio stations, will join Gord St. Denis on The Morning Pickup with Ashley & Gord, starting Monday, Aug. 12.

“Ashley is the kind of person you want to be friends with – she is fun, truly genuine, and brings positive energy to every room she walks into,” said Jodi Hamilton, Operations Manager, Radio & TV, Ottawa & Eastern Ontario, in a Bell Media announcement. “I am thrilled to welcome Ashley to Ottawa’s Pure Country 94, and know our listeners will absolutely love waking up with Ashley and Gord.”

“I’m so excited to join the Pure Country family and to connect with listeners every morning,” added Greco. “I’m especially delighted to team up with Gord – his energy, experience, and love for country music are infectious. Together, we’re ready to bring a fun-filled show to kickstart our listeners’ day.”

The Pure Country 94 morning show is also heard from 6 – 10 a.m. ET on Pure Country 99 (CKLC-FM) Kingston. In addition to her new role, Greco will continue to host Back in the Day Brunch on the MOVE Radio network and CHUM 104.5.

St. Denis was formerly accompanied in mornings by Sam McDaid, who is now the host of Country Nights, airing weeknights on Rogers Sports & Media Country stations across the country.
