ACTRA Toronto has announced the nominees for the Outstanding Performance Voice Awards and this year’s recipient of the ACTRA Toronto Stunt Award.

Chosen by a jury comprised of past award recipients, Cotton Mather, who has been a stunt performer, driver, double and coordinator since the 1980s, is being honoured with the 2025 Stunt Award. Mather’s credits include feature films like Hollywoodland, Nightmare Alley, Shazam!, Suicide Squad, True Lies, and The Incredible Hulk, alongside TV series including Departure and Nikita.
“Cotton Mather is an innovative force from the Canadian Stunt community. We are delighted to honour his contributions and reveal the skilled performance artistry behind the wheels of some of the most iconic scenes from the North American film canon,” said ACTRA Toronto President Kate Ziegler, in an announcement.
The Performance Voice nominees are led by Netflix animated series, Unicorn Academy, which generated five nominations.
Candidates for ACTRA Toronto’s juried Outstanding Performance awards are submitted for consideration by ACTRA Toronto members. This year marks the first time an award will be presented to a youth performer in the Performance Voice categories.
