Winnipeg Jets renew radio broadcast deal with 680 CJOB

Corus Entertainment has renewed its radio broadcast partnership with the Winnipeg Jets to bring listeners NHL coverage for another three years.

The multi-year deal for all pre-season, regular season and playoff games kicks off Sept. 19, with Kelly Moore, Paul Edmonds and Mitchell Clinton helming on-air coverage.

Under the agreement, 680 CJOB will also continue to carry select games from the team’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Manitoba Moose, on CJOB, with all games streaming on cjob.com.

Jets’ games will also be simulcast on Power 97 (CJKR-FM). Pre- and post-game coverage will start two hours before puck drop on CJOB, helmed by Moore, with play-by-play analysis provided by Edmonds and Clinton.

Jets at Noon returns with Tyson Rewucki and Jim Toth, with additional hockey coverage during The Sports Show, 7-9 p.m. CT weekdays, with Christian Aumell.

“From the in-depth analysis to the stories that bring listeners closer to the team, generations of fans have been connecting with the Winnipeg Jets over CJOB’s airwaves,” said John Olfert, True North Sports + Entertainment President and Chief Operating Officer. “We are pleased this tradition will continue, with the familiar and insightful voices of Paul Edmonds, Mitchell Clinton and Kelly Moore, as we build on our partnership with Corus. We’re also excited that fans can listen to even more Manitoba Moose hockey this season with 26 games on CJOB and the full season streamed online featuring Daniel Fink on the play-by-play.”

“As the current home to the Winnipeg Jets, we are honoured to keep the tradition alive at 680 CJOB by renewing this partnership with the team, and True North,” added Tammy Cole, VP Audio, Corus, in an announcement. “There’s a reason fans have trusted us for so many years to handle game-time analysis, post-game coverage and all the action in between, and our talented team of broadcasters is a testament to that.”
